Dr. Chuck Madinger:
B.S., M.Div., D.Min.,
Founder of Global Impact Missions, Co-founder of T4Global, and
start-up principal with Voice for Humanity after 26 years in
congregational pastoral ministry. The last 10 years of vocational
ministry concluded with leading the 10,000-member Southland
Christian Church (Lexington, KY) as its mission pastor. Dr.
Madinger then designed and helped implement behavior change
communication projects among oral learners in 15 countries assisting
Non-Governmental Organizations and Faith-Based Organizations. From
civic education in Sudan, Afghanistan and Iraq to HIV/AIDS training
throughout Sub-Saharan Africa to leadership training among national
church movements he helped chart new paths into work among oral
tradition cultures and those who can’t, don’t or won’t read for
information.
He serves as an adjunct professor in the USA and Africa in
cross-culture communication theological studies, as well the
Research Task Force for the International Orality Network. His
academic life included training in business administration at
Indiana University to his doctoral degree from Fuller Theological
Seminary.

Henry ‘Butch’ Locklar
After working 15 years with major restaurant operations and
consulting, Butch joined the staff of Southland Christian Church as
the Executive Director of Administration and Finance, before helping
launch Voice for Humanity. The work with VFH as the CFO and Program
Manager used his broad business application skills to build the
capacity of numerous NGO’s and FBO’s in reaching at risk populations
in the fight against HIV/AIDS and other civic education programs.
He has worked throughout West and East Africa managing projects and
bringing life-saving, life-changing information to those who need it
most.
Butch
completed his undergraduate and Masters degree in Business
Administration from the University of Kentucky, and served as a
pilot with the United States Air Force, (Distinguished Flying
Cross, Air Force Commendation Medal and Vietnam Service Medal) |

W. Philip Thornton: PhD,
Dr. Phil Thornton served with OMS International in Colombia, S.A.
for 3 years in the areas of church planting/evangelism and
theological education by extension, for 27 years as Professor of
Missions at Asbury College, and for 2 years as Vice President of
Field Ministries for GO InterNational where oversaw international
partnerships in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He holds an A.B.
degree from Asbury College, a M.Div. from Asbury Theological
Seminary, and a PhD. In cultural anthropology from Southern
Methodist University. Having grown up in a church which pioneered
in missions programming and outreach, Dr. Thornton carries a special
interest for extending the ministry of the local church across the
street and around the world.
